never had one before, but this one is well made and works exactly as I'd expect. boots come off with ease and my wife appreciates not having to help me anymore.
These boots are almost perfect. I did a lot of research prior to ordering and watched every review I could find. The design, craftspersonship, leather packaging and communication was all top notch. The only issue I've had is sizing, despite a number of conversations with the lovely team at Chisos, when the boots arrived they were too small. Some of this might be down to the conversation from US to UK sizing and some due to individual foot shape. Unfortunately, I have had to put them straight on eBay. I think a US 11 is closer to a UK 10 and for true comfort from these boots it's wise to go up half a size. All this mean's although I am a UK 10.5 I will need to order a new pair in size 12 (US11.5 plus half a size)
I grew up in Texas and have been wearing cowboy boots my whole life, and my only regret is not discovering Chisos sooner! These are, without a doubt, the most comfortable boots I’ve ever worn. The quality, craftsmanship, and comfort speak for themselves. As long as they keep making boots like these, I’ll be a customer for life!
from a quality perspective, these are bar none the best boots I've worn.. in terms of quality of leather, construction, feel etc... the inner lining is smooth and the leather is rich. The unique detailing of the sun, moon and the stars above the 'chisos' mountain atop the state the of Texas is really cool.
As for daily wearing them, the break in process is intense in my opinion, especially if you plan on wearing them for longer than a few hours at a time and especially walking. I'm a size 9 in just about every boot I've ever worn, and now that these are broken in, the fit is right. I'm glad I didn't go up a size... so the break-in process is tough. but the leather is super stiff and doesn't really 'mold' to your feet... and they aren't as comfortable as some of my other boots from Ariat, or Tecova but these are a solid in-between, and WAY more beautiful than any other in terms of the sheen the leather gives off and the stitching.
the heel is pretty high, and sort of makes you tilt forward... maybe that's just me but still something I noticed... Overall I do think they are worth the asking price and you won't regret buying them
After spending a bit of money on my No. 4s, I didn’t think I needed to spend that much more money on a fancy boot jack. Until I used a cheap one for about 6 months. I discovered the cheap boot jack with so-called memory foam lining was leaving marks on my beautiful boots. I’m not one to get upset over a few scuffs, but why do it intentionally with a sup-par boot jack? Chisos boot jack is on another level and definitely worth the investment!
They are beautifully made and quality but my feet hurt in them. I'm normally 9.5 wide so the sizing said go up a full size. I ordered a 10. The rule said if you scuff them you keep them so when I tried them on in the safe section they felt nice. After a days wear they had my feet hurting. I figured they'd break in after a few uses but i came to the conclusion that I should've ordered an 11.
Once I got the thinner insoles my foot felt much better. I have funny feet, big old caveman feet, so the nice thick squishy insoles that everybody loves were too thick for my big old caveman feet. I spoke to customer service and they sent me a free pair of really nice thinner insoles, and ever since then it’s been wonderful. The quality of these boots make me proud, and I want to buy another pair as soon as they come in my dang color lol
Amazing. My first pair of Cowboy boots ever and I wanted high quality ones. I got that for sure. Bad feet from military and law enforcement careers require the best of the best. I got that. No regrets. No way I’d buy any other brand either.
My feet is happy! Boots are very comfortable right out of the box, leather is super soft and looks amazing, brushed brown number 1 is perfect.9
My mom has said for a long time I look like Jason Mamoa. Well I went to a baby shower today in these boots and the other dads now say I look like Mamoa. I am very pleased with the rugged aesthetic of these boots.
Monica and I made a trip to Chisos because I was doing some work in Austin and our daughter lives here I already had a pair of roper’s, which I love and I was looking to add to my collection and to get her a pair for our birthdays. So we went to the Mecca and Juan who was fluid and just met our needs including bilingual for Monica got into three pairs of boots and a couple of glasses of whiskey the hospitality seeing the genuine and the boots are amazing
This balm is great! A little goes a really long way too. I put this on a few pairs of leather work boots I have in addition to my Chiso's boots. It makes the leather look fresh and basically new. The balm also helps make the leather very pliable and soft. Wish they sold it in a larger container since I am using it so often. It even worked for my leather messanger bag that I use for work and the end results are fantastic.
I got the No.6 a few weeks ago. The initial fit was real tight that I actually had to exchange the boots twice. I normally wear a 9 EE or wide. After calling the super friendly staff to get the exchanges, I ended with a perfect fit at 10.5.
I recently wore them at Disney World and walked miles around while on vacation. I would not recommend doing this with other footwear but the No.6’s were so crazy comfortable. No tiredness, soreness or blisters from using them. That’s how good they are!
If you are looking at any other brand of boots, STOP. Chiso’s has the best quality made boots.
I ordered my typical size, 9, too big. Exchanged for 8.5. Just a tad big in one boot, I called. They sent me a different pair of 8.5 and they were perfect. It took some time and patience but it was worth it. I will say, I wear the Savannah boot by Lucchese and the Chisos boot is a lot taller and seems wider, it is also heavier. I am an avid line dancer. Chisos provides the comfort and seemingly shock absorption, they feel very sturdy and supportive. I will have to get the shorter Chisos boot as well. I receive a lot of compliments when I wear them, they are beautiful. Five stars for comfort, stability, design and most of all the EXCELLENT customer service I received over the phone at their store in Austin. Thanks Chisos team for the comfort, it is appreciated!

You wonder what they are going to be like when you would spend 200 to 300 for another brand off boots if the extra money is worth it. I must say I am happy to spend the money. They are definitely worth it. There is just something different about them, they fit so well and are very comfortable. I am already eyeing another pair.
Best boot there is. Leather is such high quality it has made the house smell nice the past month I have had them. Definitely want to get more of these boots!

While it is hard to break in without scuffing in a house with hardwood floors, I finally got it done.
10D is and has been my size for nearly 50 years. This is true with the left boot, just snug enough to break in normally. But, the right was way too tight. I broke the pin in my new cheap Amazon boot stretcher while getting it close but not quite comfortable enough. So I replaced the inserts with a combo of water buffalo and lamb skin. Fits perfect!
Matches great with a roughout gunslinger stitched belt from Texas Saddlery (with a Montana silversmiths buckle). and a matching band on a pecan stetson Gus.

Best fitting most comfortable boots I've ever owned, but I do have a creak in the heel of my right boot.
Amazing boots. Every bit as comfortable out of the box as I read and heard, they can easily be worn all day regardless of what you’re up to. I plan on getting a black pair and also eyeing the rough out.
